I follow the above motto with conviction - (and here comes a well-worn example )there was a time when salmon was so plentiful that in Northern England apprentices' indentures included a clause that the master should not serve salmon more than three times per week. There are many foods that are undervalued - just because an ample supply of it exists and others overvalued simply because it is scarce.

And then there exists some products where so much care has been taken regarding the excellence, that the prices are extraordinary - but worth it. Like the first best bbq food adventure.
